How do I know if I need glasses?
If you find difficulty in reading small letters, prints, or face trouble focusing on close objects then it is likely you require reading glasses.
Can I wear reading glasses all the time?
ECOREADERS® are not advised for regular use without the approval of an eye care professional.
What strength reading glasses do I need?
To determine the strength of glasses you require; a quick and easy eye test is available to complete here. This will ascertain your dioptre, which is the optical power of a curved lens. ECOREADERS® are available from +1 to +3.
How do I care for my glasses?
We advise using the ECOREADERS® protective case when not wearing your glasses, to minimise the risk of damaging them. When cleaning your frames, we recommend using water or an alcohol-free cleaner to protect the bio-based material.
Can I return the frames if I am unsatisfied?
Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your ECOREADERS®. Frames must be returned in their original condition, in the original packaging. In the unfortunate event that you receive a faulty frame, please notify us at your earliest convenience and we would be happy to replace or reimburse your order.
Do my glasses come with a warrantee?
Yes, we are pleased to offer 12 months aftercare with any purchase of an ECOREADERS® frame. In the unlikely event that you experience a fault with your frame during this timeframe, we will be happy to support in resolving the issue.
What are ECOREADERS® made from?
ECOREADERS® are made from an innovative bio-based plastic, meeting the highest standards of environmental performance. This material is derived from castor seed oil; renewable sustainable, non-toxic and GMO and BPA-free. Ideally suited to frame manufacture without compromise on quality, it is lightweight, flexible and durable.
How many products are there to choose from?
There are four models available to choose from, each in a choice of four varying colours.
What is the difference between reading glasses and prescription glasses?
The main difference between ready-to-wear reading glasses and prescription glasses is that reading glasses are made with + dioptre lenses that magnify up-close objects and they are available to purchase without a prescription from an optometrist.
How long are my reading glasses suitable for?
People are advised to get an eye test once every two years, the outcome of which may change/update your current prescription. It also helps identify other problems, such as glaucoma, before they get any worse. This may influence the strength of reading glasses you require.
